My dad was an Air Force pilot and we "retired" to Montgomery ( my mothers hometown ) half way through my 8th grade year . Cloverdale , then on to the new JD. Best thing about High School was it only took me 3 years to finish...pitiful student, easily distracted and not particularly connected to "school". Made some good friends...more casual acquaintances then on to Univ South Alabama because my grades wouldn't get me into Auburn...much less Alabama at that time . Thought...I'll become a Marine Biologist.. NOT..transferred to Auburn to get into school of Architecture which didn't happen because...well, it's really difficult . So, graduated from Auburn with a degree in ... Marketing from the school of "Business"...which means I continued with my lifelong approach to school which was , "please get this behind me". Worked in Montgomery for about a year and split for California where all of that education had pretty much nothing to do with how the rest of my life has turned out.Oh yea...go Vols !
